Who is responsible

What we collect and why

Your email address is never shown to the friends you invite, and friends' email addresses are never shown to you.
Emails we send
- Your invite link right after you create a quiz.
- A short email each time a friend answers your quiz, one reminder after 48 hours if nobody has answered, and one summary after 7 days. Every email has a link to stop emails about that quiz.
- If you answer a friend's quiz: one email with your own result.
- Update emails only if you ticked the box. Every update email has an unsubscribe link.
Who processes the data for us
- Supabase: database hosting for quizzes and answers.
- Resend: sending our quiz emails. Resend is based in the USA; transfers are covered by the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
- Google Analytics: only if you accept analytics in the cookie banner. Counts visits and quiz steps (for example "quiz created"), never your name, email or answers. Google may process data in the USA under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
- Brevo: our newsletter list and sending, only for people who ticked the box for updates. Brevo is based in France (EU).
We do not sell your data.
Your browser
The quiz stores your answers and invite codes in your browser (local storage) so it works. This is necessary for the service. Analytics are only used if you accept them in the cookie banner; you can change your choice at any time via "Cookie preferences" at the bottom of the quiz page.
How long we keep it
We keep quiz data while the quiz is in use and delete it when you ask us to. Consent records are kept as long as you receive update emails, plus the time needed to show that you agreed.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, or withdraw your consent, by emailing hi@openwindowsgame.com. You can also complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY), imy.se.
